This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Living Without Content Piracy
  • Chapter 0.1: The Problem What We Are Tackling

Once there was a village with some many people who are usually busy working, taking education, running shops and businesses, public libraries are being operated by our government, and even people who enjoy creating their own works.

Each day; the day is the same, but different.

People who go to work often have money to spend, to pay bills, feed children, or even help our ecosystem.

Content creators make money by licensing their works, and even diversifying their reach of their works,–using a public library as a priority.

Radio stations obtain licensing from musicians and podcasters to provide content for their listeners of their stations to listen to.

Local TV channels also obtain licensing from other creators to provide content to watch.

With ALL of that licensing what they chose for commercial purposes, and paying royalties to creators… everybody gets a share of their funds. TV channel and radio station owners create their own works to further diversify what they’re offering.

Others obtain licensing from these creators.

However; some people chose to go open-source as a way to reduce costs, and broaden their audience.

Every year; old works enter the public domain to be reused by the next generation of creators who will be coming for the future.

With ALL of that asking, and doing things later… business has been taken care of!

With all of that licensing markets going up, everyone join in. Commercial use of their works,–after obtaining licensing and permissions are chosen as a default option.

The poor are using public libraries to check out books, movies, or music,–or even amusement rides. Its important to use public libraries,–if you don’t have any money to spend, just like other folks in this village.

Movie theaters are busy, offering movies for us to watch. Going to the movies is expensive, but its worth money to watch new films, and pay up,–if you managed to save enough money for an occasional treat.

Inside a movie theater, people are lining up to watch new movies what they want to see. They have enough money to have a meal with their movie ticket as a way to ensure no person is left hungry.

Each person powers off their mobile phones, and other devices to ensure they don’t get any telephone calls.

They wait for a movie to show up.

The screen is displaying TV commercials that will fund this theater. However; people has decided to pay more for things what they want.

They ask questions,–before they begin to watch new films.

Outside; villagers often do normal stuff like usual.

Trees are planted to ensure this village stays cool during the hot days, and help to keep dirty air from building up.

This village enjoys being a creator, and they use their brains to think up new ideas.

In some of these offices; the sound of computer keyboards clicking indicate new people writing books, movie scripts, blog posts, software code, and other things what you can create.

Art studios are busy with artists who are using their brain to create something new.

Theaters are busy.

Sporting arenas and networks are active.

Athletes are active with sports.

Everybody in this village are busy.

The cycle repeats.

It repeats like normal.

Suddenly, there’s was an explosion!

There’s a mysterious organization that is linked to this explosion.

This mysterious structure is located in a rural part of this village. It has 4 floors, it has a black roof, it has few windows, and even it has a large door.

They own a car, and a large farm with cattle,–but only 4 of them are grazing in this field.

Wait a minute!

Who are these people?

This car is heading to a movie theater.

Some of these people ridden cattle to other places, such as a sporting arena, a theater for play performance, and even a concert hall!

There’s a group of crooks who are dressed up in black, and they’re wheeling something that is NOT right!

Somehow; there was a problem what this village has never encountered before.

Movie theaters managed to provide movies to watch, but something is NOT right!

Movie studios begin to experience losses of their royalties.

Record labels begin to experience the loss of their sales and licensing of their works.

Artists experience losses of their revenue.

Tax money begins to slow down the flow,–causing prices to go high.

This creative village has experienced piracy that is causing these problems for some of these people who want to consume legitimate sources of works to support their creators.

Tree planting begins to stop.

Crop farms begin to stop producing crops.

Public libraries begin to experience constant losses too!

Mean black horse-like creaturs begin to attack fairgrounds,–ordered by a Karen who has no business doing this to our village who want to enjoy their carnival.

Cammers begin to launch a sneak attack!

Market of pirated media begin to grow.

People struggle, even the poor who are creators often experience piracy too!

In movie theaters; cammers hide in the dark, and they disguise something as large beverage containers. Movie continues to play.

Well, people are paying for a movie to watch, but something is NOT right.

No person has said something,–after he/she saw something.

This theater has received more payment, but a movie creator has received less money than they yused to earn.

All of that good work has turned into undervalued mess.

Studios struggle to make a dollar.

Creative communities begin to struggle.

Some of these creators has to sell their bikes, and some has to sell their buildings to make ends meet.

Some of these creators are rendered homeless.

At this apartment building,–where the poor live… there’s a fairy, Annie. She is currently heading to a public library to find a film to check out, and return it later on.

Annie is just getting her day started.

Amanda, the fairy is just getting ready for a patrol to protect the forests.

Other poor fairies who live in this apartment has no interest of being creative. They just waste their time, sleeping, visiting friends, watching TV,–and even stay at home over working!

Unfortunately, the poor has been fueling piracy,–all without relying on public libraries as a way to help save a dollar.

However; fighting back is a way to get this problem resolved,–with common sense!

Many of these studios has complained of piracy rising.

There are struggles that flooded this village.

Inside the another apartment; a miserable fairy, Topsy is extremely miserable. She is trying to publish her comics to her customers on the internet with her PC that uses proprietary software as Annie relies on open-source software for her PC.

That miserable fairy is mad because of this, but Topsy will NOT give up!

Timothy has to sell her big chicken, and once again; there’s going to be meat on this table.

Annie doesn’t eat meat, she is a vegetarian who can handle seafood just fine.

Annie can hear Topsy fussing over her large chicken what she want to ride her her normal form of commuting to work.

Timothy has to get some money to spend. He has no employment.

Annie is being a superhero who will help this village get back on its feet, and recover from this ordeal! She will be helping this village fight back.

How Annie is going to fight piracy?

Is she going to save the day?

And… she will find these pirates accountable.

Annie has asked Topsy to relax, and be calm as a cucumber. Annie knows what to do because, she has registered her works ahead of time.

Topsy doesn’t want to live like this forever.

Annie begins to fly outside, causing Topsy to miss Annie, preveing Topsy from grabbing her at her legs.

The camming crook is on the run, dodging theater patrons, and theater staff members.

These crooks are so clever; they have their own vehicles to get away.

All of the other pirates are scattering to random places.

Look what’s happening to these movie theaters: Movies are stolen!

Concert halls are being recorded without permission or licensing.

Musical performances in theaters are experiencing the same.

Sporting arenas are being pirated without knowing it.

Art is copied without permission.

These issues are serious.

TV channel owners has their work stolen.

Annie is on a mission to guide you to live without piracy.

This is the pirates worse enemy.
